The startups in Telangana we can both place and evidence, about 1,669 of them. Bubbles are groups; zoom in and they separate into companies, coloured by who is behind each one. A number always zooms in, a single dot opens the company.

"About", because the map counts by coordinate and that figure counts by company. A coordinate belongs to whichever district contributes most of the companies sitting on it, so a handful registered just over a state line are drawn on the neighbour's side of it. What this state's numbers show

Telangana runs on one city almost entirely: Hyderabad accounts for 89.0% of the state, and Warangal in second place for 2.0%. Recognition runs well above the national rate at 56.0% against 51.2%, while the funding-signal rate sits below it at 9.4% against 10.5%. The two move independently, because recognition is applied for and a funding signal is reported. The Seed Fund has approved Rs 65.0 crore across 11 incubators and disbursed Rs 50.8 crore of it, 78.2%, a higher draw-down than most states manage.

About this data

Indian Startup Map is an independent directory built from the Government of India's Startup India register and other public sources, snapshot 2026-08. We do not run the register, we do not own or represent any company on it, and nothing here is an endorsement of one. Company names and logos belong to their owners. Every source is listed.

A dot on the map may be wrong, and most of them are not an address. Most startups sit at the centre of their district, which is a label position and not a place. Where we do hold something finer it is a geocode of a registered office, which is frequently a founder's home rather than a place of business, so we round it and never publish the address line.

Registration is not an operating signal. A large share of registered startups are dormant, and we have no way to tell you which. Figures come from our own count of that snapshot and will differ from the government's own census, which counts differently.
