Urvogelbio is an innovative life science company developing exosome-based platform for application as diagnostics and/or therapeutics for various disease conditions. Exosomes are body’s own nano-shuttles that carry active biocargo (RNA, DNA, protein, lipids etc.,) of their cell of origin to other destination cells to elicit specific biological functions in both normal and diseased patients. Exosomes are omnipresent and are found in almost all body fluids viz- saliva, blood, CSF, urine etc., Urvogelbio harnesses this very unique feature of these ubiquitous natural messengers to develop liquid biopsies from various biofluids, thus enabling a non-invasive methodology to detect altered biomarkers in patients. Our active portfolio includes development of Central nervous system (CNS)-based exosomal diagnostics for early diagnosis/monitoring of various neurological diseases including Dementia, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson, traumatic brain injury etc., This technology can form the basis of delivering personalized and precise medicine to guide therapeutic decisions along the entire patient care continuum, real-time. Urvogelbio also employs this exosome-platform to develop novel exosome-formulations for various hydrophilic and hydrophobic drugs with solubility, stability and toxicology issues and to target the otherwise un-accessible deep-rooted targets. We are currently collaborating with various biopharma companies to help them leverage our exosome-based technology to enhancing their R&D processes.
