I Dr. Shahzad Asim, Founder and Head, of Kashmir Advanced Scientific Research Centre KASRC wishes to submit as under: 1. That the Kashmir Advanced Scientific Research Centre KASRC registered under Registration of Societies vide registration no 7294/S of 2019, was established in 2017 at Rented Building near Govt. Degree College, Sumbal. The main objective of establishing this research Centre was to achieve excellence in the area of multidisciplinary research and act as a prototype for other peer group R&D organizations. 2. In the Year 2019 the Centre submitted a proposal to the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir for establishing the above Multi Disciplinary research Centre at Cluster University, Srinagar, which was approved by the government vide order no HED/JKIMS/2019 Dated: 25-11-2019, in which suitable space with some necessary equipments were allotted.3. The Centre is a maiden multi-disciplinary research Centre presently functional at Cluster University srinagar conducted various research activities with a focus on Neuro Acoustics and its effects on brain activity and cognitive functions. 4. The research collaborations were also made with the Department of Psychiatry, SKIMS Bemina, Institute of Mental Health and Neuroscience (IMHANS) GMC Srinagar and National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar in the said area. The Centre also is in process of establishing collaborations in the field of Neuro Acoustic Research with Franklin University of Medicine and Science, Chicago USA and NCR Catania University Italy. 5. That the Centre achieved a historical milestone when it got recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO) by DSIR, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India for carrying out independent multidisciplinary research activities in the above areas. The KASRC is the first of its kind in J&K (UT) and among the few in the country that have been recognized and registered as SIRO.6. The Centre has also submitted research proposals to various scientific organizations of India and is hopeful of getting suitable funding.
