What this state's numbers show

Jammu and Kashmir is one of the few registers with two centres of near-equal weight rather than one: Srinagar at 31.6% and Jammu at 26.0%, the territory's two administrative capitals. Its Seed Fund allocation has the lowest draw-down in the scheme: Rs 5.0 crore approved to 1 incubator, of which Rs 1.9 crore has actually been disbursed, 38.6%. Recognition runs below the national rate at 41.9% against 51.2%, and 19 of 23 district labels carry enough records for a page.

About this data

Indian Startup Map is an independent directory built from the Government of India's Startup India register and other public sources, snapshot 2026-08. We do not run the register, we do not own or represent any company on it, and nothing here is an endorsement of one. Company names and logos belong to their owners. Every source is listed.

A dot on the map may be wrong, and most of them are not an address. Most startups sit at the centre of their district, which is a label position and not a place. Where we do hold something finer it is a geocode of a registered office, which is frequently a founder's home rather than a place of business, so we round it and never publish the address line.

Registration is not an operating signal. A large share of registered startups are dormant, and we have no way to tell you which. Figures come from our own count of that snapshot and will differ from the government's own census, which counts differently.
