Brief description about the Innovation Inspired by the vision of Hon. PM Shri Narendra Modi Ji and our local dynamic MP Dr. Jitender Singh Ji for an Aatmnirbhar Bharat, local Bhaderwahi Aroma & Herbal entrepreneur Mr. Touqeer Bagban started & scaled up the cultivation of exotic Himalayan aromatic & herbal species such as Kashmiri Lavender, Tagetes, Rosemary, Kuth, Kutki, Pushkarmool, etc. From these raw materials, his co. M/s JK Aroma distils their essential oils and prepares herbal products and has formulated close to 50 value-added products so far. This startup has directly or indirectly bestowed livelihood to nearly 2500 farmers from the Doda / Chenab Valley region, and is considered a role model in harnessing local bio resources to bring livelihoods and sustainable development to remote mountainous areas like ours.
