The livestock, dairy, and fisheries sectors are pivotal in India’s agricultural landscape and economy. These sectors provide livelihoods to millions of people and contribute significantly to the country’s food security. However, they face numerous challenges that hinder their growth and sustainability. To address the challenges related to this sector and catalyze innovation, the Vety and Livestock Innovation and Incubation Foundation (VLIIF), a company registered under section 8 of the Companies Act, 2013 (Ministry of Corporate Affairs, New Delhi) was established on August 21, 2023. VLIIF aims to bolster entrepreneurship and innovation in veterinary, animal sciences, and related domains by identifying innovative and sustainable solutions using cutting-edge interventions and technologies to solve pressing problems in livestock, dairy and fisheries sectors and to create startups and entrepreneurs ecosystem.
