Ratan Tata Innovation Hub (RTIH) is a Government of Andhra Pradesh–promoted, Section 8 not-for-profit company established to strengthen the innovation and startup ecosystem across the state. RTIH operates under the administrative support of the Andhra Pradesh Innovation Society (APIS), which is the nodal agency for implementation of the Andhra Pradesh Innovation & Startup Policy.RTIH has been conceived as a network-based incubation and innovation platform with a Hub-and-Spoke model, enabling decentralized but coordinated startup support across multiple regions of Andhra Pradesh. The central Hub at Amaravati anchors strategy, governance, partnerships, and common programs, while regional Spokes extend incubation, mentorship, and ecosystem engagement closer to academic institutions, entrepreneurs, and local innovation clusters.The mandate of RTIH spans the full lifecycle of innovation and entrepreneurship, including student innovation, early-stage ideation, incubation, acceleration, and startup scale-up. RTIH supports startups working on technology-driven and impact-oriented solutions across sectors such as electronics and manufacturing, deep-tech, agritech, sustainability, digital public infrastructure, healthcare, mobility, and emerging technologies.RTIH provides startups with structured incubation programs, physical and virtual incubation infrastructure, mentorship from industry and academic experts, access to prototyping and testing facilities through partners, investor and corporate connect, and support for regulatory and market access. Special emphasis is placed on student innovators, first-generation entrepreneurs, and startups emerging from Tier-2 and Tier-3 regions.As part of its ecosystem role, RTIH works closely with academic institutions, research organizations, industry partners, investors, government departments, and central and state schemes to create a cohesive innovation pipeline. RTIH facilitates startup onboarding, program design, monitoring and evaluation, and supports startups in accessing appropriate funding, including grants, seed support, and investments through compliant mechanisms.RTIH is governed by a professional Board comprising government nominees, industry leaders, and academic experts, ensuring transparency, accountability, and alignment with public interest objectives. As a not-for-profit incubator, RTIH does not pursue commercial gain but focuses on building sustainable entrepreneurial capacity, enabling innovation-led economic growth, and contributing to employment generation and wealth creation in Andhra Pradesh.
