1. National Centre for Additive Manufacturing (NCAM) is established by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India in partnership with the Government of Telangana. 2. NCAM is established as an independent agency to build a comprehensive ecosystem of Additive Manufacturing in the country by enabling the adoption in the industry, prototyping new products and focusing on indigenization, access to state of art infrastructure, enabling research and development of standards and new product development, and promoting skill development activities to generate quality manpower. 3. NCAM will conduct startup incubation program every year to encourage product development, generating patents and encouraging setting up of enterprises using innovative technologies in Additive Manufacturing throughout the value chain in design, software, materials, equipment and applications.
