Incubation Center at Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences, Jabalpur was established in the year 2010 to promote a culture of innovation and creative problem solving, knowledge sharing, interdisciplinary design-focused education, research and entrepreneurial activities. The Incubation Center seeks to nurture technology and knowledge based ventures through their start-up phase by providing the necessary support to help entrepreneurs survive in the competitive market and reach a stage where they can scale-up their venture. It aims to build and share resources including space and infrastructure, access to business support services, mentoring, training programmes to enhance the skills of entrepreneurs and seed funds. GGITS Incubation Center is poised to straddle the academic community at the institute on one hand and social and industrial bodies on the other hand. Since the establishment, the Incubation Center became the Host Institute of Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Govt of India Incubation Scheme and responsible for promoting and running active programmes for identification, creation, acceleration and translation (into practice) of innovative ideas suitable for new venture creation. Gyan Ganga Institute of Technology and Sciences Jabalpur has become partner institute of Design Innovation Center, RDVV for prestigious Niti Ayog Atal Community Innovation Center. Niti Ayog, New Delhi has sanctioned 2.5 Crore grant for the project. The objective of the project is to support innovative business ideas of students and faculties and incubate start ups. GGITS Jabalpur had tied up with Design Innovation to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration amongst industry, academia, Institutions, research laboratories, etc. The Atal Community Innovation Center GGITS will serve as a location for the industrial collaborators to encourage their new Product Development in the campus using in-house facilities and imparts design based education and practice systematic design through projects. GGITS Incubation Center created an ecosystem facilitating students and faculty to take their innovative ideas from classrooms/labs to market/people. It facilitates evolution of new models of academia-industry interactions as well as academia-social interactions and develops institutional networks for innovations in the thematic areas. Incubation Center runs courses on entrepreneurship at undergraduate/post graduate level with an enrolment of about 40 students each. The structure, course content, course design is innovative and tailored to the objective. GGITS Incubation Center invites aspiring student innovators to submit their projects/start up or business ideas for support. We encourage projects that address significant social, environmental, or technological challenges faced by various segments of society, including disadvantaged individuals, sectors, spaces, micro, and small enterprises.
