About BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus TBI Society: BITS Pilani Hyderabad campus houses a technology business incubator (TBI) called BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus TBI Society (henceforth referred to as “TBIS”) since 2012 to encourage innovative entrepreneurship, and to facilitate translation of knowledge and technology-driven innovations from within the institute and its vicinity. TBIS was initially established with the support of National Science and Technology Entrepreneurship Development Board (NSTEDB), DST, Govt. of India and is currently being supported by the intramural budget. Sectors of Intervention: TBIS offers services and incubation support to technology / knowledge-based business ideas across the sectors as follows: • Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals • Information and Computer Technology (ICT) for Healthcare • In vitro Diagnostics, PoC Healthcare • Microelectromechanical System (MEMS), devices with miniature and precision components • Other ICT: Social media, edutainment, e-commerce, etc. • AgriTech and Agri-Biotech SpaceTech & Defence
