In their own words

What is Virohan? Virohan is a vocational training institute in the healthcare space. It provides a technology-led solution to standardize and aggregate the highly fragmented vocational training industry. We are developing technology stack to lower operational costs and increase viable penetration by providing standardization and improved efficiency across operations. The outcome is two-fold; progressive livelihood for youth and profitability at scale for vocational training providers. Need for Re-engineering traditional vocational training ecosystem In our 2 years of research we observed why the traditional vocational training often fails to achieve the intended outcomes and does not even reach a majority of the targeted low income population. To challenge this status quo, we decided to re-engineer vocational training. We deconstructed the various operational workflows that existed in the traditional model and coming up with technology solutions for each problem in those workflows. Our business model aims to effectively address the current systemic challenges and move towards reliable and predictable outcome that will effectively enable youth to achieve relevant market jobs needed for economic mobility through standardized high-quality education. For example, we are building comprehensive technology solutions that standardize all functions like mobilization, financing, training, placement, and certification. We are already seeing early validation that this will allow our model to be operationally efficient, cost effective and scalable. Solution: Innovation via technology When we looked at the vocational training space, we realized that it’s a model that is failing because of several challenges across training and distribution. Firstly, the model is supply-driven rather than demand-driven. The way the training is executed is not credible, transparent or engaging. And, it’s a high capex and high opex model with low returns. First off, we had to ensure that we convert it into a demand-driven model. For that, we have a very innovative approach leveraging machine learning to solve for this problem using publicly available metadata. We have been aggregating data on jobs and employers online and using predictive analytics, we will forecast the jobs-demand for each job role in each city of India. Using that data, we will launch training programs in those cities to fulfill that industry-demand. Further, we have broken down all operational workflows at a training centre into different technology products – each one designed for a different user type. For example, we created an Admissions app for our field agents (anganwadi workers, asha workers etc.), a mySales app for our telecallers and counsellors, a separate platform for financing, myClassroom product for delivering blended learning, and are launching a myCareer app for our students etc. This ensures that 1. we are able to optimize each product for adoption by adapting to the ever changing user environment 2. each user’s actions in any process are standardized leading to a consistent outcome 3. this overall optimization of operations increases the affordability & accessibility for students and at the same time, increases revenue and profitability for training centres. Our Technology Stack Job Prediction 1. Aggregate jobs online to predict industry demand per geography and trade 2. Industry demand based student intakes at local training centers i.e. higher center utilisation & placement Mobilize Youth 1. myAdmissions app for real time lead collection through community influencers who replace traditional sales team 2. Incentive per admission- no fixed salary with high penetration and influence Sales 1. mySales app for sales workflow automation- predictive analytics for higher conversion 2. Auto SMS, OBD, calls with telecallers, psychometric assessment to map students with the right program Student Financing 1. API integration with financiers for loans 2. Increased affordability as Student pays fees in easy EMIs 3. Upfront cash flow for centers from financiers Blended Learning 1. myClassroom app for standardised delivery of technical, English & soft skills via gamified blended classroom 2. Long internships for practical 3. Low cost scalable training Digitally Certify 1. Digital certificate linked with Aadhaar on a distributed ledger for credibility & perpetuity 2. Assessments used to create student’s skill map 3. Training provider credentials Jobs / Employment 1. Link students with local jobs through myCareer app using the online jobs data & skill map 2. Skill enhancement given to students on the myCareer app leading repeat business At Last – Our Mission Having said about re-engineering and leading vocational training we want to become the preferred partner of the healthcare industry for meeting its workforce requirements, ranging from OEMs to hospitals, labs, diagnostic centers and clinics.

What we do not know

We have no liveness signal for any company on this site: no filings feed, no revenue, no check that the website still resolves. A startup existing here means a startup exists, not that a business is trading.
