TOKOTODAY is a part of "TOKO TRADING & SERVICES PVT. LTD." Which is a destination for both online grocery shopping and availing day to day home service provider such as plumbing service, carpentry work, electric appliance repairing etc. We are based out of Bhubaneswar right now, offering some of the best prices on groceries and a completely hassle free experience to avail any type of home service. We offer a wide variety of products starting from daily need items (such as Filigrees, Groceries, Baby care products, Beverages, Personal Care etc) to dealing with event management programs including balloon printing. How did you come up with this idea and why this name? The word Toko is a direct translation of the word "Shop" in Japanese. So putting it together, it stands for "Shop Today". We have opted to use the word Toko to make the name sound out of the box and yet easy to remember. We came up with this idea to make life in urban cities easier to live in. Shopping for daily use grocery items and looking out for local home service providers doesn't only put a dent on the pocket, but also takes it toll on the scarcely available free time after office hours. Having faced a similar situation during our college days, made us think over the problem prevailing in urban cities and thus TokoToday had its birth. How time-consuming or difficult was it to get started? Nothing is easy as long as we don't do it ourselves. At the same time, nothing is impossible unless we do it ourselves. Yes, it was a tough call to venture into entrepreneurship against parents advice, but we are happy about it. Be it gathering a strong and efficient team to start the venture or executing the operational plans in a cost-effective way, everything was difficult to crack in the beginning. At the same time, it was fun and adventurous. But as time passed, we learned and used the experience gained in the last couple of months, to strengthen our operations and are doing quite good now.
