Sureness Innovation Minds Private Limited

In their own words

Background Water scarcity and conflicts over water resources are indeed pressing issues globally. While the United Nations does not specifically predict "water wars," it has highlighted the potential for increased water-related tensions and conflicts due to growing competition and scarcity. The United Nations Water Development Report (2018) stated that by 2050, around 5.7 billion people could be living in areas where water resources are scarce for at least one month per year. This scarcity, coupled with population growth, urbanization, climate change, and inefficient water management practices, could exacerbate tensions over water access and use. The UN Watercourses Convention, an international legal framework, emphasizes the need for cooperation among nations to manage shared water resources peacefully and sustainably. The United Nations promotes diplomacy, negotiation, and integrated water resource management as means to prevent and mitigate water-related conflicts. It is important to note that the situation regarding water resources, access, and conflicts can vary greatly across regions and depend on multiple factors such as local governance, geopolitical dynamics, and water management practices. While conflicts over water resources exist, the global community is increasingly recognizing the need for cooperation and sustainable management to address water-related challenges.
