In their own words
The ethanol manufacturing entities majorly produce ethanol using Sugarcane as their input. Our company aims to eliminate the reliance on Sugarcane and focus on producing ethanol using Maize / Sorghum / broken rice (i.e., damaged food grains, etc.,). This becomes an effective and alternate method to extract ethanol in an affordable way, which translates lower manufacturing cost when compared with Sugarcane. As the production of ethanol using Maize / Sorghum / broken rice is being done in a cost effective way, this will reduce the selling price and in return, this will lower the input cost to the Oil Marketing Companies. This new idea closely corresponds to the Central Government's target of increasing the ethanol blending to the petrol and achieve "E20" levels, which means, the petrol will be blended with 15% to 20% ethanol. This will make our company to become the partner in nation building and aim to curb the fuel prices by offering the ethanol to OMC's in a cost effective way.
