SD Power Systems INC is a partnership deed firm between two partners having rich experience in technology and business and is located in Bangalore and entered in the register of firms with the government of Karnataka. We have the vision to provide clean energy systems at an affordable cost with simple installation means. Small wind turbines are standalone (off-grid) independent power source. The major applications of a small wind turbine include rural electrification, small wind farms, rooftop installations, and street light power or in general small loads. Increasing investments in renewable energy sources, stringent government regulations to restrict carbon footprints and financial incentives to increase the adoption of alternative energy sources are expected to drive the small wind turbine market during the forecast period, 2018 to 2023. Most of the small wind turbines are legacy type horizontal axis turbines and have failed to serve the market because of cost and tedious installation means which mostly done only by the OEM’s. This makes the consumer dependent on OEM for installation and commissioning thus increasing the cost which is more than the turbine and generator cost. Also, this has led the OEM’s not able to reach all the needed far off, remote customers. The existing versions of small wind turbines are beyond affordability and also have complex installations means. Our company has found and developed affordable, efficient and Do-It-Yourself model small-capacity wind turbines for the global market. The core team consists of technologists and finance background specialists with rich experience who served large organizations at leadership roles. The collaboration with high aerodynamic engineering company made it possible to make the intended prototype machine and test it. Currently, we are in the stage of different registrations with different affiliated bodies to protect our designs and provide certification to our customers. Innovation: SD power system inc introduces a unique micro-wind turbine which is a vertical axis and the blades are helical axis aerodynamic efficient. This type eliminates the need for the long tower as the minimum wind speed of 2m/s can drive the machine to give power output.
