The founders bring extensive experience in defence communications, intelligence solutions, and AI/ML technologies. Throughout their careers, they noticed the limitations of existing intelligence systems and saw the importance of developing advanced home-grown solutions specifically designed to meet India's unique needs. Convinced of the significance of their idea, the founders left their established jobs in May 2023 to establish Romulan AI—an effort to promote self-reliance ("atmanirbharta") in the defense-intelligence and internal security field. Romulan AI' ethos revolves around a human-centric approach to intelligence solutions.
