We are the first modular furniture company, manufacturing the furniture in 18 mm plywood and laminate or veneer finish. Previous day’s people use manual work which takes more time to deliver the projects, whereas we are using the new CNC machines and manufacturing technology to increase the production, reduce the time and produce materials with high quality standards. We are using young team of engineers and architects to provide the designs which will be simple, attractive and cost effective. Innovation Continuous innovation is not easy and if you keep using the same method you will experience diminishing results. So we have adopted following processes. 1. Ask customers. We simply ask customers to how we can improve our product or service, they will give plenty of ideas for incremental innovations. 2. Observe customers. Only ask customers won’t work out fully, we keep watch on them. Trying to see how customers use our products. Do they use them in new ways? 3. Use difficulties and complaints. If customers have difficulties with any aspect of using our product or if they register complaints then we have a strong starting point for innovations. Make our product easier to use, eliminate the current inconveniences and introduce improvements that overcome the complaints. 4. Combine. Combine our product with something else to make something new. It works at all levels. Think of a suitcase with wheels, or a mobile phone with a camera or a flight with a massage. 5. Eliminate. What could we take out of our product or service to make it better? Dell eliminated the computer store, Amazon eliminated the bookstore, the Sony Walkman eliminated speakers and record functions. 6. Suggestion from staff. Challenge the people who work in the business to find new and better ways to do things. Improvement Team Mind-set - Quality won’t be sustainably improved by individuals. To really make lasting and meaningful change in manufacturing processes, it will take a team-based approach. By involving multiple disciplines in the search for improved quality, a variety of perspectives is obtained. Define Quality from the Customer Perspective - Too often, staff within a manufacturing environment want to make a product “better” but don’t really know what better means. With additional cost, we almost always can make a product better. Develop Organizational Understanding of the Cost of Quality - The cost to fix a defect in the field once it reaches a customer is dramatically higher than the cost to fix the source of the problem before it is created. It is essential that the manufacturing staff be trained to understand the cost multipliers involved with warranty repair or replacement and cost of damaged reputation. Solve Problems Completely - All too often, manufacturing quality improvements fix the symptoms of failure rather than the root cause. This can be done by adding quality inspection steps or rework stations that make it more efficient to fix defects. Instead, a true understanding of root cause should be developed within the teams. Scalability Manufacturing businesses are notoriously hard to scale. Regardless of the type of merchandise produced, figuring out how to take a manufacturing business to the next level is a serious challenge.
