QNano Advanced Materials is an emerging venture to deal with R&D cum production cum training entity initiated by a group of highly experienced R&D experts in the field of advanced functional materials such as graphene its derivatives and composites, metal and metal oxide nanoparticles, conducting polymers, liquid crystals, etc., and experts in the production of paints and coatings, and business management. The major objectives of the company are to develop state-of-the-art materials for end-use applications in diverse areas of defense, energy storage, environmental protection, water purification/remediation, specialized marine paints, anti-microbial/anti-fungal coatings, graphene production and scaling, Radar absorbent coatings, etc., as well as to train graduate science and engineering students from academic institutes and to establish advanced characterization and testing facilities in the field of advanced materials at Jodhpur, covering a vast area of western and southern parts of Rajasthan. Already, the company has enabled the development and scaled green synthesis of several conducting polymers, metal oxide nanocomposites in polymer host matrix, graphene nanoplates (GNP), rGO together with coating formulations thereof showing potential for anti-corrosion, antifouling, anti-microbial/anti-fungal applications. The functional materials are also integrated as efficient electrode materials for rechargeable lithium and sodium-ion batteries, symmetric and asymmetric supercapacitors with high energy density.
