In their own words
On a mission to turn every kid into their own hero, Merlinwand aspires to create a difference in the education sector by encouraging kids to start to enjoy books by reading an engaging good story, thereby instilling a reading habit. The brand’s key products at present include the Great Timbooktu Rescue, The Music Band, The Climate Ninja and the Tingling Finger that allows kids to personalize the name of the main character, gender, avatar, and storyline to help them put on their creative hats. Taking storytelling to the next level through personalization, the brand envisions having a catalogue of 6 children’s books and 1 book for grown-ups, achieve a sale of 10,000 books, and incorporate premium features like allowing picture uploading and deep fake avatars in next financial year. Furthermore, over the next five years, the brand envisions selling 30k books per year on a steady basis and establish themselves as a platform-as-a-service for connecting authors and illustrators. Headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana, Merlinwand is looking to build a sense of trust among parents of children in Tier-I and Tier-II cities, relatives, and schools and subsequently expand to international geographies.
