In their own words
Kadal, a Tulu word for ocean nests in a quaint town of Malpe close to Udupi on the shores of South Canara. We run a surf school by the beaches of Malpe in the Arabian sea which was established in 2019. The team is head coached by Tanvi Jagadish, who is the first Indian woman to compete in Stand-up Paddling World Cup and is an ISA certified coach for surfing and stand-up paddling. The surf schools conducts morning & evening water sessions for students in surfing, kayaking & stand-up paddling. Tanvi is born and brought up by the shores and being an ocean athlete herself she began assisting to coach in 2009 at the age of 9. The school is incubated by 'Place Explore' in 2021 and since then the journey has been immense.
