Indihood is a deep technology startup founded by Dr Lalitesh Katragadda, the former head of Google India products and inventor of Google Map Maker. Its staffed by a team of India’s best computer scientists focused on solving the problem of building a cloud platform which allows domain experts without minimal expertise in coding to generate application specific platforms for their communities. Once Indihoods platform is fully operational, this will unlock a wave of energy to create a myriad of high quality applications for India’s billion and the world. The applications themselves will unlock a large amount of employment, livelihood and well being by empowering people. For example, Indihood’s first application - being built for Avanti when deployed will provide livelihood loans for millions of Individuals and Small entrepreneurs - who don’t have access to cheap capital today. And by doing so, large scale improvement in quality of life and additional employment will be generated. Beyond Avanti, as Indihood matures, several such efforts will start, each of which will have similar end user benefits but also directly generate employment for designers, domain experts, operations and services experts to fuel building and maintaining of large scale applications. Each of these would create wealth and employment at the bottom of the pyramid - being the focus of Indihood; while Indihoods success would create wealth for the company and its partners which would fuel further investment into research and development in India.
