Hermetia Private Limited is focusing on eradicating a major social problem faced by the society namely environmental pollution caused by dumping of Solid Waste. The Company follows a unique technique for that purpose. For dealing with Dry waste the company has comprehensive collection, transportation and chain processing system where trash is catalogued into more than 25 types. This catalogued waste is subsequently treated with controlled operations like shredding, compacting, recycling and co-processing. Through this the company contributes significantly in reducing the burden on dump yards and in encouraging reutilization of available resources which otherwise would have been rejected as waste. In respect of biodegradable waste the company has its own technology to disintegrate it utilizing a specific type of insect which expedites the decomposition process. In this method different parameters are specified for obtaining the required quality of manure, without adding any chemical or harmful agents. This technique is known as BSFL technology. Improvements in ecofriendly practices such as natural decomposition, systematic chain operation, minimum use of machinery and use of electrical vehicle will lead to reduction in carbon foot print of the community. It is done by not only solving solid waste problem but also by giving solution for non-recyclable materials promoting them as alternative fuel. By blending such socio-modern concepts and introducing them in waste management, the company is contributing towards swacch and green initiative. In course of time the company is expected to act as a life supporting system for large number of unskilled and unemployed women from surrounding villages. It is estimated to create 3-4 times more employment than the existing levels. Besides, the company offers scope for research and development for finding out ways and means of increasing the fertility component of the manure and in finding alternative uses for non-recyclable material.
