The Art & Flea Project is a women-led, pan-India sustainability forum, working with homegrown brands and artists to instil conscious consumerism through vibrant flea markets, eco-festivals and workshops. Conceived in 2019, Art & Flea Project has aggregated over 500+ urban brands and artists to produce and curate zero-waste markets, along with supporting rural artisans and indigenous craft clusters. The Art & Flea Project has been able to achieve a database that is now 10k+ users wide, consisting of environmentally aware and initiated peoples – aged between 18-45, ascribing to the “Buy Less, Buy Better” philosophy, across Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Kolkata, Bangalore and Chennai with over 25+ editions. Built as a platform to simplify the idea of sustainable living and making it accessible to every demographic strata, We are also involved in collaborative campaigns and IPs. We host an annual environment advocacy campaign Home Truths (online & offline) with ArtsForward India, an ideation and curation agency, to curate panels and workshops featuring some ace environmental activists and artists like Pranshu Singhal, Ashwika Kapur, Karuna Ezara Parikh, Meghna Nair, Swarup Dutta, Aishwarya Biswas, so on and so forth. Our sister company, called the Culture Chutney which is a collab between Social X Art and Flea Project is a #SOCIALonSustainability initiative that is dedicated entirely to the GenZ with a common vision to lead sustainability conversations and solutions amongst the hyperlocal communities of India in making conscious lifestyle choices and driving others to do the same.
