Anhad Shakti Foundation is a distinguished social enterprise registered as a private company under Section 8(1)(a) of the Companies Act, 2013. The Foundation is focused on empowering marginalized communities, particularly poor and elderly women in rural areas, by providing them with dignified employment and access to education. As a Section 8 company, it operates with a non-profit motive, channeling all its resources towards social causes rather than distributing profits. Its primary endeavor lies in the production and sale of traditional pooja samagri products, including incense sticks, dhoop, kumkum, haldi, sindoor, and sacred threads (moli/kalava). These women, often excluded from the formal workforce due to age or physical limitations, are trained in the production of these goods, allowing them to earn a sustainable income. The revenue generated from these sales is reinvested into the Foundation’s broader mission—providing free, accessible education to marginalized communities in order to break the cycle of poverty and foster inclusive development. By combining economic empowerment with educational upliftment, Anhad Shakti Foundation addresses both immediate and long-term challenges faced by these communities. Its model ensures that women gain financial independence while also contributing to societal welfare.
